　　对于西方人来说，他们在周末经常吃brunch。在中文中，brunch是“早午餐”，而brunch就是用breakfast和lunch两个词拼在一起得来的。既然是吃早午餐，那么我们一定要学会使用slather这个词。

　　这个单词的第一个意思就是“厚厚地涂抹”或是“大量倾倒”的意思。

　　例句：

　　Tom always slathers butter on toast. It is just too much. Eating greasy food is not food for health.

　　Tom总是在吐司面包上涂厚厚的一层黄油。实在是涂得太多了。吃油腻的食物对身体不好。

　　Ps. slather butter on toast=slather toast with butter

　　Mariana likes milk tea. She really means it. Last Sunday I invited her to come for brunch with my family and she slathered half a cup of milk in her tea.
